Without XML - what would have happened to:-
1) Syndication (RSS, ATOM, etc)
2) ANT
3) XMPP
4) And many many other things
It's one of amazing thing that happened in the history of
computer/internet.
Thanks to those who came up with idea, brainstormed, drafted, worked and
kept working, even today if not on XML then some related standards.
