WG Notes: [TEAMC] I have updated the technique in the following manner: 1) changed the title to: Providing text alternatives on applet elements 2) updated the description to: Provide a text alternative for an applet by using the alt attribute to label an applet or providing the text alternative in the body of the applet element. 3)added two code examples (there were none) 4)updated the test procedure: 1. View the source code of the applet element. 2. Check that the applet element contains an alt attribute with a text alternative for the applet 3. Chek that the applet element contains a text alternative for the applet in the body of the applet element Check #2 or #3 is true. An html attachment of the changes can be found here: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-wcag-teamc/2006Jul/0005.html I tested this in Firefox and IE and the text alternative in the body of the applet works equally as well as the alt text. Resolution: Good catch. We have updated technique H35 to require the use of an alt attribute and a text alternative in the body of the applet.
