What is SKOS Core?
- SKOS Core is a simple tool for information retrieval and information management.
- SKOS Core is a vehicle for publishing concept schemes (thesauri, classification schemes, subject heading lists, taxonomies, terminologies, glossaries and other types of controlled vocabulary) in a machine-understandable form.
- To get into SKOS Core, read the SKOS Core Guide. If you are a thesaurus user, read the Quick Guide to Publishing a Thesaurus on the Semantic Web. The SKOS Core Vocabulary Specification is a reference companion, especially useful for software developers.
- SKOS stands for 'Simple Knowledge Organisation System'.
