18. XHTML Edit Attributes Module

This section is normative.

This module defines the Edit attribute collection.

18.1. Edit Collection

edit = "inserted|deleted|changed|moved"

This attribute allows elements to carry information indicating how content has changed. Possible values:

• inserted: the content has been inserted
• deleted: the content has been deleted
• changed: the content has changed considerably, therefore making it not worth being marked up with values of inserted and deleted
• moved: the content has been moved from some other part of the document.

Example

<p>I will do it
next <span edit="deleted">week</span><span edit="inserted">month</span>.</p>

datetime = Datetime

The value of this attribute specifies the date and time when a change was made.
