ACTION-247: Figure the status of SVG within JIS. What was submitted and on whose behalf?

These are all based on online public information. I will write this in wiki style I guess :[

- What was submitted?

For SVG Tiling and Layering, 日本規格協会(JSA), an organization known to be producing drafts to JIS[1], has made/will make a public (non-free) draft[2]. (Should I go there and ask?) Not sure if anything has been submitted to JIS(C).

For SVG 1.2, it's in JIS already and the process is ongoing[2]. The translation has completed but otherwise I don't know which step[3] they are at nor how to get a copy of the translated. They are targeting at finishing this within this year. (I browse through all the JISXs and found nothing with SVG on it, but I might have overlook something)

I see no sign that the above two is bound together. For remaining questions, I sent Hagino-sensei a mail and I am waiting for response[4].

- On whose behalf?

JIPDEC → JSA → JISC

JIPDEC[5] is a government sponsored organization and its goal seems to be promoting IT technology in general but also, as mentioned, producing drafts to JIS. There were two attendants from JIPDEC at the last meeting
