I am not sure how this should be fixed, I think there is no way to test this properly because this is a very implementation-dependent feature and relates to having not enough memory to do a proper rollback.
Tentatively fixed by allowing to catch the error normally, leaving the bug open for discussion though.
Closing as resolved/fixed per the previous comment.
