I assume this is referring to the note that reads "There are a variety of alternatives to using HTML tables for layout, primarily using CSS positioning and the CSS table model".

It's probably reasonable to point authors to more information there. Not sure where would be helpful though. Anyone got any ideas?

This bug was cloned to create bug 18000 as part of operation convergence.

I've tried just adding a reference to [CSS]. Dunno if that's enough. Reopen if you want something specific.
