General versioning considerations

This wiki page aims at summarizing references and providing a background for versioning support in DCAT.

Apparently there are 3 prominent types of resources to be considered as subjects to independent life-cycles and versioning processes:

1. @Concept level: T-Box definitions (DCAT and re-used 3rd party vocabularies)
2. @Data level: A-Box instances of the above
3. @Profile level: constraints applied to particular model version 1) effective in a concrete data instance 2)

TODO: Analyse how those differ with respect to life-cycle, editors, frequency, granularity, update operations etc.
