Ultraviolet (http://www.uvvu.com) defines standards and provides services for the online distribution of movies and TV shows. Ultraviolet uses a constrained profile of SMPTE-TT (viz. CFF-TT) for captions and subtitles. Ultraviolet-enabled content is intended to be enjoyed on a wide range of devices and platforms, including UAs. It is therefore desirable if UAs can render SMPTE-TT (TTML).
