RUBY element: Is the RUBY element supported by any user agents? If not this should be deleted or lack of support should be mentioned; Related issues: (space separated ids); WG Notes: [TEAMB] Makoto, can you tell us which user agents support ruby? Do we need User Agent notes for browsers that do no support ruby? Or does the rp tag handle those situations? Ruby element is defined in XHTML 1.1, not in HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0. However some modern browsers render the ruby elements even if the source codes are written in HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0. For example, the following version of IE can render the ruby tags: <ruby>, <rt>, <rp> - IE 5.0, 5.5, and 6.0 for Windows - IE 5 for Mac <rb> - IE 5 for Mac > Do we need User Agent notes for browsers that do no support ruby? In my opinion, we should mention that the ruby markup is defined only in XHTML 1.1. Also IE 5.0 or later already support the ruby, rt, and rp elements even if they are used in HTML 4.01 or XHTML 1.0. For Japanese authors, it would be helpful that we provide the User Agents support info.
