It may be that I just should not have set a bookmark to http://www.w3.org/TR/xqupdate/. But I find it really misleading that older Working Drafts of the XQuery Update Facility still claim that the draft's latest version can be found under that location. In fact, the `latest version' link should now be http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-update-10/.
You're not the only one who finds that annoying, misleading, and just frustrating. We've been trying for several weeks to get that fixed and we still have high hopes of making things better. A last-resort solution is to replace the existing document at http://www.w3.org/TR/xqupdate/ with a revised document having the "Latest version" address changed. That, unfortunately won't help people who have downloaded the old WD and click on the link on their own systems. Thanks for raising this issue and be assured that we're trying to get it fixed ASAP. Jim (Co-Chair of the XML Query WG)
Our deprecated URL, http://www.w3.org/TR/xqupdate/, finally points to the latest draft of the XQuery Update Facility. Sorry this took so long to correct.
