A Note in Structures section 2.2.3.2 says: Note: XML Schema: Structures ·content models· are similar to but more expressive than [XML] content models; unlike [XML], XML Schema: Structures applies ·content models· to the ·validation· of both mixed and element-only content. This is incorrect as it stands: the use of content models to validate both mixed and element content is common to XML DTDs and XML Schema. What is different is that XML Schema does not restrict the form of content models for mixed content in the same way as XML DTDs. I think the statement should be corrected (although I do not now propose specific alternative wording).
A possible wording to correct the inaccuracy in the existing Note: Note: XML Schema: Structures content models are similar to but more expressive than [XML] content models; unlike [XML], XML Schema: Structures does not restrict the form of content models describing mixed content.
On its telcon today, the WG agreed to the wording proposal in comment #1.
