As a followon to RQ-141 (anyAtomic), we have recognized the requirement to align Structures and Datatypes more thoroughly. This item (RQ-141d) refers to the whatever changes are needed in the Structures spec to get the two specs in full alignment as regards the definition of anySimpleType and anyAtomicType, the definition of type validity, the XML mapping rules for simple types, etc., etc. At its ftf meeting in August 2005, the WG asked the editors to provide wording to resolve this requirement for considertion at our telcon of 2 September 2005.
I believe this is now completed, using dgs rec12-main and rec12-map, and ready to go to the WG for approval
Note that the paragraph reading "There must not be more than one member of {facets} of the same kind" depends on a separate proposal to make the {value} of pattern set-valued. If that proposal (due out rsn) is not adopted, this paragraph will need amendment.
A proposal to align parts of the structures spec more closely with the corresponding portions of the datatypes spec was considered in Edinburgh in September 2005 and approved as amended. Further amendments were adopted on 16 December 2005. The proposal as amended has been integrated into the status quo documents as of 16 December.
