The spec says "If the item is not valid, then a list." So it seems to imply that a processor needs to provide such a list if the validity is either "invalid" or "unknown". My question is: what should be provided when it is "unknown"? Henry's response contains the proposed wording. More specifically, to change the [schema error code] property in sections 3.2.5 and 3.3.5 in structures from: If the item is not ·valid·, then a list. to If the item is ·invalid·, then a list.
Discussed at 2005-10-07 telecon. The wording proposal included in comment #2 was approved.
