Biography
I've a background in applied research in areas ranging from pattern processing (image and handwriting) and expert systems (a long time ago) through to distributed consumer information appliances.
More relevantly I've been working in semantic web, as part of HP Laboratories for several years now. I'm one of the developers of the Jena semantic web toolkit, responsible for the inference architecture and the RDF rule system. I've also been involved in diverse semantic web application projects, several of which involve the use of rules.
