XQuery Scripting Extension 1.0 Draft Published

The XML Query Working Group has published a Working Draft of XQuery Scripting Extension 1.0. This specification defines an extension to XQuery 1.0 and XQuery Update Facility. Expressions can be evaluated in a specific order, with later expressions seeing the effects of the expressions that came before them. This specification introduces several new kinds of expression, including the apply, assignment, while, and exit expression, and a block expression with local variable declarations.
