The RDF Data Access Working Group has updated the Serializing SPARQL Query Results in JSON Working Group Note for the simplified SPARQL Query Results XML Format, removing two attributes. JavaScript Object Notation (JSON), a lightweight data-interchange format, is used as an alternative to XML vocabulary to serialize the results of SPARQL query forms. SPARQL offers developers and end users a way to write and consume search results across a wide range of information and provides a means of integration over disparate sources.
