SMIL 2.0 Working Draft Published

As part of the W3C Synchronized Multimedia Activity, the SYMM Working Group has issued an updated Working Draft of the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language 2.0. SMIL (pronounced "smile") 2.0 defines an XML-based language that authors can use to write interactive multimedia presentations, and allows reuse of SMIL syntax and semantics in other XML-based languages.
