SMIL 3.0: Beyond the YouTube Paradigm
Add to calendarIn December, W3C published version 3.0 of SMIL: the Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language. SMIL is a language that allows various media items to be orchestrated into a single, coherent whole. It adds lots of functionality to make multimedia on the Web more interactive, moving significantly beyond the YouTube paradigm. This talk will survey the functionality of SMIL and provide an overview of work done on SMIL at CWI in Amsterdam.
