Rules Interchange and the Semantic Web
Add to calendarAs part of its development of the Semantic Web, the W3C in 2005 chartered the Rule Interchange Format (RIF) working group with the mission to specify a format for rules that “will function as an interlingua into which established and new rule languages can be mapped, allowing rules written for one application to be published, shared, and re-used in other applications and other rule engines”. The group is scheduled to make its recommendation in May 2007.
