Call for Participation in CSS Selectors as Fragment Identifiers Community Group

W3C has launched the CSS Selectors as Fragment Identifiers Community Group

Decades after the web emerged, hypertext creators pointing to a specific place in a resource they don't control still have to hope or beg that there's a convenient link anchor placed there by the author. CSS selectors let us point anywhere in a document – let's bring them to hypertext!

You can see a very rough initial plan of this at http://simonstl.com/articles/cssFragID.html.

In order to join the group, you will need a W3C account.

This group was originally proposed on . The following people supported its creation: Simon St.Laurent, Matthew Turvey, Robin Berjon, David Moulton, Chris Lilley.

If you believe that there is an issue with this group that requires the attention of the W3C staff, please send us email on site-comments@w3.org

Thank you,
W3C Community Development Team
