Requirement #4: high resolution (for film/HDTV/printing applications):
This can be achieved by:
- not using an image buffer.
- render/composite as fast as possible.
Several principles have been followed:
- 'Produce' pixels as late as possible.
- Avoid unnecessary computation (e.g. hidden parts)
Ideally, we should reach horizontal resolution independance,
i.e. linear complexity w.r.t. image resolution.
