Library 2000
Jerry Saltzer takes a look at what technology will be available

The Library 2000 project will not only aim to start in 2000,
but to evolve every time the technology changes by an order of magnitude.
This is seriously "persistent storage", when the persistence of
the data exceeds the design life of the hardware and software.
