The XQueryX tests that are supposed to test the "version encoding" feature give wrong results because this feature is not part of the XQueryX spec. So the "encoding" is specified in a comment and is ignored by the XSL transformation. The failing tests are: XQueryX/Expressions/PrologExpr/VersionProlog/K-VersionProlog-3 XQueryX/Expressions/PrologExpr/VersionProlog/K-VersionProlog-4 XQueryX/Expressions/PrologExpr/VersionProlog/version_declaration-010 As far as I can tell, those tests should be removed. The testing was performed with Zorba XQuery engine 1.1 .
The problem you site existed in XQTS 1.0.2. It was reported in Bug #4773 and these XQueryX files were removed. Our source files are available at http://dev.w3.org/cvsweb/2006/xquery-test-suite/. You can also access XQTS_current.zip, refreshed just a couple of minutes ago, at: http://dev.w3.org/2006/xquery-test-suite/PublicPagesStagingArea/XQTS_current.zip Please close this bug if you are satisfied with this response.
Ok, I rechecked.
