The processing instruction node has been removed from the table of nodes in appendix E. Does anyone recall why that was done or if it was intentional? The PI still appears in the source document so either the node should be restored or the PI should be removed from the source document.
XQuery creates processing instruction nodes: http://www.w3.org/TR/xquery-11/#id-computed-pis <quote>A computed processing instruction constructor (CompPIConstructor) constructs a new processing instruction node with its own node identity.</quote> If the language creates them, they had better exist!
At a recent telcon, we agreed to put the PI back in.
Fixed.
