The S4SD makes the xs:any child of xs:openContent optional. But the possibility of its being absent does not seem to be recognized in the mapping rules, and there is no indication of what it might mean to omit it.
Ah, I've just seen this is covered by rule 2 of Schema Representation Constraint: Complex Type Definition Representation OK in section 3.4.3. Withdrawn.
