Minor comment #2 from http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Member/w3c-xml-schema-ig/2008Mar/0001.html "URI scheme" has an existing official use which caused at least this reader huge confusion on first reading -- RFC 3986 uses that phrase to identify 'http', 'ftp', 'mailto', 'https', etc. ! Could another phrase, perhaps 'URI approach', be used?
I believe that this was fixed in the LC draft by using the term "SML URI Reference Scheme"
