This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
The content of this document is of great values. I see one direct benefit for XHTML users, but I fear a possible rebuttal by these same users. They will not like to have to use yet another namespace in an XHTML document. Though there might be a possibility. Have you thought about proposing an XHTML Module to the HTML WG (in addition to this work not a replacement)? See "How to create XHTML Family modules and markup languages for fun and profit" http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/Guide/xhtml-m12n-tutorial/
Action: Working group to discuss the proposal.
Closed. The modularization is now part of the BP document.
Summary: The comment does not apply any more since the Working Group handles the topic now in a different document.
