This error occurs when adding a function item as a child of an element or document node. It should be classified as a type error rather than a dynamic error so that it can be raised statically. The XQuery equivalent XQTY0105 is a type error.
I agree, seems to make sense. Would it be possible to rename it? Or is that too much of a change and we only reclassify it in the erratum?
I think we should retain the code, reclassify as a type error, and add a note that the choice of error code is an anomaly caused by the change of classification.
