This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
My comments relate to http://www.w3c.org/TR/2004/PER-xmlschema-1-20040318/#rcase-MapAndSum I'd like to request that rcase-MapAndSum.2 be rephrased to make it more readable. There are a number of places in the these documents that suffer the same sort of human-parseability problems but this sentence is particularly egregious. See the original email for details on the issues and suggested wording changes: http://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/www-xml-schema-comments/2004JanMar/0080.html
Because the disposition of this issue is likely to take different forms in XML Schema 1.0 and XML Schema 1.1, I have changed this bug's 'version' field from 'unspecified' to '1.1 only' and made a twin of this bug for version 1.0. This issue (bug 2242) will relate to XML Schema 1.1, and bug 3764 will relate to XML Schema 1.0.
The rule in question has been deleted from XML Schema 1.1; the function is served is now handled by other rules. The wording problems noted in the comment now no longer apply. Accordingly, the WG agreed in its telcon today to close this issue as resolved.
