This is an archived snapshot of W3C's public bugzilla bug tracker, decommissioned in April 2019. Please see the home page for more details.
When saying that a document validates as xhtml, warn the user problems relating to that: Similarly, please warn in the documentation whereever this applies!
Won't make it for 0.6.2. Setting target to 0.7.0 for review in that timeframe.
This would require us to actually writeup some of the problems with XHTML sent as text/html (linking to Hixie's proto-rant is not an option) somewhere we could link to them. Since that ain't gonna happen in time for 0.7.0 (unless someone feels inspired), I'm retargetting and removing blocker on Bug #856. And since this is actually a different issue than what Bug #739 aims for, I'm removing the depends on that as well.
Fixed in 0.8.0 - http://validator.w3.org/whatsnew.html#t2007-04-19
