Addressing Schemes

This is (an attempt) at an exhaustive list of URI schemes. I try to list them all, whether they're standard (as of this writing, Jan 1996) or not.

See also: notes on URI schemes from the area director of the IETF Applications Area.

If you are designing a new scheme, please let us know by sending a message to www-talk.
