Introductions and Administratrivia
Lionel_Wolberger: John F joined to pass along an email contact he had regarding Adapt.
… Thanks John very much!
janina: We should be sure we send the weekly update, to ensure that people are aware of the upclming meeting
Lionel_Wolberger: I thought the W3 calendar was sufficient
Upcoming Symbols Face to Face
<matatk> https://
janina: Presented a list of 7 potential invitees
matatk: Highlighted the flexibility that implementors will have with the Adapt Symbols procedure
… we should clarify the goals of the Face to Face, that will help clarify the agenda
Lionel_Wolberger: We reviewed the invitation list and crafted a general approach to the invitation that we plan to send
<matatk> goal is to review the use cases
<matatk> for fonts and symbol mapping
<matatk> cover all use cases from russell's use cases
<matatk> AND include the mapping/patching cases that came up recently
<matatk> (That was just my idea on the goals)
<matatk> (Let's get everyone to review the agenda and what needs to change in their views - and check they agree with the goals)
janina: I will draft the invitation and share with the list
Lionel_Wolberger: I propose we approve on the list and get the invitation out by next meeting.
Well Known Destinations
matatk: Presented an overview of the feedback that we received at the meeting
… very positive overall
Abhinav: Better attendance than last time and a lot of discussion
janina: Spoke with COGA, they are aware that we presented Well known Destinations and are eager to remain involved
matatk: I plan to carry on with the explainer this week.
… will address Abhinav's comments and merge as soon as possible
… let's add to the agenda addressing WKD issues each week
… and document the projected limitations, e.g., a site that does not have a linkable login
JF: Just want to add i18n synonyms relates
janina: That is one of our use cases
JF: We would not need browsers to support it, it could be implemented first via a plug-in
… which is a great way to get browser attention and then they might roll it in as native code.
