Collaboration Tools Accessibility User Requirements.

jasonjgw: Reviews status; We're progressing in the wide review publication process

jasonjgw: Editorial items in process

Janina: posed four specific questions for reviewers. These questions need to be commented on in the W3C administrative process. Janina will check the status. Janina proposes to include the questions in the Status section of the public review draft. We're finalizing and publishing.

Janina expects this to be out for wide review by mid July.

Janina: from our perspective, issues raised by COGA TF have been addressed. Janina takes the view that remaining issues have been resolved with the revised section 9 of the draft.

Janina: recommends that COGA TF participants review the public draft, once released.

Janina: one of the questions arising from COGA is raised for public comment - whether the delineation of the scope of the document has been appropriately clarified.

Janina and Jason: note work on CAPTCHA and AI/ML/accessibility as future issues for coordination with COGA TF.

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and accessibility.

jasonjgw: Thanks Scott for early draft work

jasonjgw: I have fairly detailed comments myself

jasonjgw: Suggest we need to decide how to handle comments

scott_h: Reviews early drafting

scott_h: Much comes from the questions that people ask me

scott_h: many people aren't familiar with some of the delineations in this area

scott_h: e.g. machine learning vs generative a-i

scott_h: Have tried to start with definitions

scott_h: Trying to work toward addressing what people will want to know; so based on what people ask

scott_h: 1. what is the current state re addressing known a11y issues/

scott_h: 2. What is the potential

. 3. how can our tools be improved

. e.g. automated captions; auto alt text

. most interesting is remediation opportunity, e.g. if it looks like a heading can a-i add correct semantic ml?

. recent w4a was a-i focussed

. in terms of process ...

. i'm ok to move to github

jasonjgw: my most substantive comments relate to scope and process

. how scope is discussed can affect substance, and may evolve

. some of what we need to do is become clear on our mechanics

Immersive captions.

Inaccessibility of CAPTCHA.

Janina: considers the most recent working draft to be generally good, but there are details to be improved.

Janina notes the problem of CAPTCHA services that require disclosure of disability in order to bypass the inaccessible challenge.

Scott notes ongoing problems with Google's ReCAPTCHA with respect to its fallback conditions.

Scott also notes issues with the use of CAPTCHA during authentication procedures.

Janina: suggests we highlight the problem and note the availability of solutions, without being too specific about preferred soltions.

Miscellaneous updates and topics.

Janina: notes issues with the W3C's IRC service that are currently being debugged. Anyone encountering the issue should report the date/time and the IP address of the client.
