Meeting minutes

Collaboration Tools Accessibility User Requirements.

Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and accessibility.

Scott: examining the question of what capabilities AI presently has with respect to accessibility.

Scott: it may be more informative to focus on specific scenarios, e.g., with respect to WCAG 2.x success criteria. Alternatively, take alternative txt as a section in the document, then refer back to the standard (WCAG 2.x) within that section.

Scott notes the value of AI in determing documet structure etc.

Scott expects to have text in the next few weeks.

Miscellaneous updates and topics.

Janina notes the importance of documenting more recent forms of CAPTCHA, without recommending any specific alternative technology.

Janina would like to see the CAPTCHA draft revised by the end of June.

Janina also remarks upon a Note-track document on accessibility issues with fixed layout publications (EPUB).

Janina: there has been discussion in APA of an approach to fixed layout that might facilitate addressing accessibility concerns.

Minutes manually created (not a transcript), formatted by scribe.perl version 221 (Fri Jul 21 14:01:30 2023 UTC).
