Meeting minutes
Collaboration Tools Accessibility User Requirements.
Janina: I attended the COGA meeting last week which was useful.
janina: I also followed up on a couple of points from the meeting and found that labels and APIs are available on Google Docs which was shared with the team.
Janina: One thing that is still missing is the context surrounding a document when a link is shared. Which folder is it in on the filesystem, which other files are connected etc
jasonjgw: A file or a folder can be shared so it is possible to provide some of that context but when sending a link it is assumed that permissions to the wider file system are not given.
jasonjgw: Let's work through any changes we want to introduce by next week and then we can make a decision.
Ethical Web Principles.
Artificial intelligence, machine learning, and accessibility.
jasonjgw: most of the work on this appears to be happening in industry as they have better access to resources than not-for-profits and universities.
jasonjgw: We should try and have a scope discussion next week.
jasonjgw: Scott should be available then and should be a useful participant in those discussions.
Immersive captions.
janina: Roy is working on a public review draft.
Raja: I'll agree to be an editor on that.
jasonjgw: I'm available to do some editing as well if I'm needed.
Media accessibility.
janina: What do we want to do at TPAC with media if anything?
janina: some of the questions coming from regulators are already answered in the MAUR.
janina: Let's bring it back to Taskforce in early June.
Miscellaneous updates and topics.
janina: Are we meeting on June 19th? It's a federal holiday.
Raja: I'm happy to attend.
jasonjgw: It looks like we'll be meeting and can book interpreters.
jasonjgw: There's nothing else I'm aware of but we should be prepared for more AI and ML applications coming up in the next few years.
