Steven: We can still call them MIPs in the model, and properties elsewhere
Erik: Works for me.

Steven: In fact it *exposes* the difference
Erik: We have another calculation 'default' that calculates an initial value. There is some trickery, like when you add a new node.
Steven: I've often thought about something similar. It would be useful

Steven: I went to the National Research Software Conference this week. It had an unconference part, where people sent in topics, and then pitched them in a plenary session, and people went to the session that attracted them most. There were 15 topics, and I pitched Declarative Programming. The results of all topics will be gathered in 15 blog posts. I'll send a link when it's ready.
