Steven: [Explains the mail]
14:03:17 [Steven]
Alain: Should we still call them MIPs?
14:03:21 [Steven]
Steven: Good point
14:03:36 [Steven]
Erik: MIPs is conventient
14:04:08 [Steven]
Steven: We can still call them MIPs in the model, and properties elsewhere
14:04:14 [Steven]
Erik: Works for me.
14:04:39 [Steven]
... calculate is a little different
14:04:51 [Steven]
Steven: In fact it *exposes* the difference
14:06:12 [Steven]
Erik: We have another calculation 'default' that calculates an initial value. There is some trickery, like when you add a new node.
14:07:07 [Steven]
Steven: I've often thought about something similar. It would be useful
14:07:16 [Steven]
Erik: I'll send a link
14:07:31 [Steven]
Steven: Let's talk about it next week.

Steven: I went to the National Research Software Conference this week. It had an unconference part, where people sent in topics, and then pitched them in a plenary session, and people went to the session that attracted them most. There were 15 topics, and I pitched Declarative Programming. The results of all topics will be gathered in 15 blog posts. I'll send a link when it's ready.
