Meeting minutes

Daniel: meeting will be about TPAC

previous minutes

<kaz> July-24

Daniel: concerns can be handled directly with Kaz, so past minutes are approved fast.

Daniel: minutes approved.

quick updates

publication process

Daniel: in June we made the request to publish the Scripting API Note

Kaz: after holidays will work on it, during this week
… structure is different than other drafts
… will make a static HTML version, to be stored

<kaz> release area

Daniel: it's almost there, and it should be fine.

Daniel: we might need some minor edits, but hopefully could publish this week

Zoltan: got some feedback on modern web spec idioms, so will probably update the Scripting spec as well after TPAC, with only stylistic changes

See for instance https://webmachinelearning.github.io/webnn/

Daniel: OK, this is welcome, after the publication

TPAC planning

<kaz> TPAC WoT agenda

Daniel: the schedule is almost full
… probably no dedicated slot for Scripting
… we could address Scripting related issues in other task forces
… that would be on Thursday and Friday

<dape> ... https://www.w3.org/WoT/IG/wiki/Main_WoT_WebConf/2023_WoT_TPAC_Agenda

Cristiano: will also be attending during the whole week on TPAC
… will attend the Devices and Sensors WG meetings

<kaz> Presence

Kaz: please update the wiki page with attendance information

Kaz: the WoT group will finalize the agenda on the group call on Wed, and we could still ask a slot for Scripting

Kaz: there will be also joint discussions during TPAC, and we can organize additional joint meetings after TPAC as well.

Zoltan: we need to track dependencies like Discovery, TD TF, and make github issues

Daniel: yes, we should have those

Daniel: the topic of Actions needs discussion

Cristiano: credentials is also a topic (related to Discovery)

Zoltan: I think it would be good to have a slot to give update, and what's next, in relation to dependencies

Daniel: OK, made notes and will bring it up on the WG call.
… the problem is I will be missing on Friday
… maybe Cristiano can help?
… but let's see how the schedule will be decided on the WG call

Kaz: given the timing (we are starting a new charter), we should discuss technical topics for this. So if Scripting has no urgent topics, we should concentrate on how the dependencies on other specs will be handled.

Daniel: if organizational issues have priority, we can discuss later than on TPAC on some of the WG calls.

Cristiano: it's fine to prioritize organization, but we could discuss dependencies on other task forces. We might not need a dedicated slot for that.
… We could also discuss during the related task force discussions.
… It's also fine to move the discussions after the TPAC.

Kaz: I've been suggesting to the other task forces as well that we should focus mainly on the refactoring and organization of the work.
… We might not reach resolution during TPAC, but we should raise issues from our viewpoint.

Daniel: any other topics?

Daniel: we can stop here and continue on the WG call on Wednesday and later.

Daniel: adjourned
