<maryjom> meeting: WCAG2ICT Task Force Meeting
scribe+ olivia-hogan-stark
maryjom: Michael has done a
conversion to markdown, will share, getting feedback
... work statement updates: AG working group approval, add
editors to list, and indicate co-facilitator status
maryjom: Made updates to templates
<maryjom> https://ibm.box.com/v/WCAG2ICT-SC-Template
<maryjom> https://ibm.box.com/v/WCAG2ICTscExample
maryjom: example of completed SC shared
<maryjom> https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/wiki/Template-for-Success-Criterion-using-wiki-markdown
<Zakim> pday, you wanted to say cannot access the SC example
<Chuck> Me either.
pday: wikitemplate not made public
<scribe> ACTION: maryjom to make public after the meeting
maryjom: created a recording of instructions from last week
<maryjom> https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/wiki#templates-for-success-criterion
bruce_bailey: Template access question
maryjom: let know what you are
having trouble accessing
... everyone should have full access, it is just the box folder
and content that IBM may be creating weird security
permissions
... We are ready to have something to look at and talk about.
Have a good view of what needs to be done for each SC.
michaelc: Working on script to
use markdown. Will be sharing.
... one file for intro, single markdown file for each SC
<bruce_bailey> thanks MC -- i think more pieces has to be better !
michaelc: More scripting in
regenerated document. Will need to enhance script to deal with
content and deal with formatting
... Described unique brackets configurations, but otherwise it
is normal markdown
<pday1> +1 for simple glossary / for respec commands - maybe it could go on the wiki
maryjom: ask for email of pointers/definitions
<Mike_Pluke> Stepping out of the meeting for 30 minutes or more.
michaelc: shell doc will still be HTML, commands to load the markdown. Doc will be minimum HTML.
<Zakim> bruce_bailey, you wanted to ask for demo of trivial edit, preview, and back ?
michaelc: Making change? Creat a branch, you'll get a copy, navigate to file, click edit icon, get code view, make you edits. Then you can preview. Now you can commit changes/go back.
<ShawnT> I'd still like to see a markdown toolbar
michaelc: don't forget to commit!
maryjom: If there is a web term you have to do a replacement for how would you do that? Bypass blocks, for example?
michaelc: Copy text and make the
changes. Making changes in WCAG2ICT file. Sharing example
... matter of finding the right file
bruce_bailey: great for working on one file at a time - too tedious for global search and replace
michaelc: May need to do custom code for notes. Will make it a consistent thing.
<Zakim> bruce_bailey, you wanted to see term reference again please
ShawnT: Not a way to add a class to a paragraph, but you can use HTML inside markdown
michaelc: Sharing define term example.. brackets with equal sign in middle tells it is a term. As long as term exists by same name, it will be able to link it.
<ChrisLoiselle> https://respec.org/docs/#definitions-and-linking is I think what Michael was pointing toward
maryjom: when initially drafting
use templates then we transfer to markdown of document. Other
options as well.
... editors will get together to start seeding the docs and get
basic info in there
<maryjom> https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/discussions/48
maryjom: Poll results - even
between adding new section on background and comparison. One
response on change log. Asking for discussion on certain
answers
... Discussed usefulness of background
<maryjom> Minutes discussion from last week: https://www.w3.org/2022/11/03-wcag2ict-minutes#item01
maryjom: had quick discussion on verbiage and references
<Zakim> Chuck, you wanted to poll if anybody who supported the comparison with WCAG2ICT objects to the background.
<maryjom> Poll: Do you think we should have a Background section?
maryjom: I think a background is useful because of the use of this note regulatory. Poll on background session.

maryjom: looking for someone to draft resolution
LauraBMiller: Will volunteer, looking for someone with experience to assist
<bruce_bailey> i will be happen to add some stuff once we get started
<maryjom> https://github.com/w3c/wcag2ict/discussions/48#discussioncomment-4047612
<LauraBMiller> When is it due?
maryjom: Due in a week or two. Should be a quick paragraph.
<Zakim> bruce_bailey, you wanted to ask if new file or add to another file or work out in issue thread ?
maryjom: See as another section
to the introduction
... Next - comparison section between original and this one

maryjom: Comment on contents of comparison section - wasn't sure what else to include? New definition terms? "NEW" indicator in glossary?
michaelc: A few options, editorial decision
maryjom: Next - Change log
<maryjom> Poll: Do you think we should have a Change log section?
<bruce_bailey> -1 no detail change log
