McCool: also this one are good
… ok accepted
testfest follow-up
<kaz> Issue 280 - Testfest 2022-03 Followup
McCool: no update on the implementation report
… I'm waiting for Ege about the report
… there are still some issues
… about discovery
McCool: I'll clean up the tooling for generate those reports
issue 267
<kaz> Issue 267 - Project (2022-03 Plugfest): TDs for Commercial Devices
Cristiano: tried to model gas sensor using MQTT ontology
McCool: about mqtt there's a standard for mqtt discovery
… in my setup I have some example of this
… not all mqtt devices follow this standard
… I was trying to automate automate TD generation based on that
McCool: another interesting topic is that the devices that I'm using use both mqtt and http
Koster: I did that early on, pretty interesting topic
… TD makes everything easy to do
Cristiano: good points
McCool: in my experimental set up I also found some interesting metadata
… for example device_class
… it defines a bunch of defaults
… very similar to oneDM for models or components
… I want to understand this
Koster: is there any json schema?
McCool: no, to be done
McCool: there's a web server component that we can use to get inspiration about the auto-generation script
… there's also a c++ API
Cristiano: async actions with MQTT are challenging using the current TD features
… I model what I could
… pretty good so fare
… but we need to test it
Koster: do we have an issue about mqtt connection?
Cristiano: for the record this is the issue about connection: https://
McCool: what about last-will and testament ?
Koster: it is something from a lower level
… applications would not bother to know this details
McCool: there might some issues about endpoints urls in forms. Architecture document might have some assertions about that
… we have to review it
Demo
<Michael showing devices and the demo on screen>
McCool: educational device with different sensors and peripherals
… also additional extension modules
… I also have a the new version
… for the demo I'll use three of them
Cristiano: really nice devices and I like the demo idea
Koster: nice I like that too
