Testing / Implementation report

Architecture repo - Testing area

PR 707 - Draft Implementation Report

Lagally: (shows the content of the PR)

Files changed

Lagally: README.md, assertion.csv, atrisk.cs, atrisk.csv, categories.csv, depends.cs, extra-asserts.html, imple.csv, SmartThings.hmtl, ercim.html, fujitsu.html, huawei.html, oracle.html, panasonic.html, hitachi.csv, ...

Lagally: wondering if all the contents are up-to-date

Kaz: the contents from each contributor should be reviewed by the original submitter

Lagally: or once merge this PR and ask people to review the contents

<mlagally_> rendered HTML by statically

Lagally: hesitant to merge this now

Kaz: don't need to merge this today
… the checklist on the PR itself is not completed
… probably this is a template and directory structure proposal for further updates at the moment

Lagally: ok. let's wait then

PR 704

PR 704 - restructuring lifecycle section

Lagally: (shows the preview)
… should be OK to merge this

(but got some conflicts)

PR 717

PR 717 - Terminology diagram

Lagally: tx for your contribution, Toumura-san!
… would merge this

(merged)

PR 696

PR 696 - New section on "virtual things", clarifying terminology

related Issue 682 - clarify virtual thing

Lagally: would avoid confusion

(closed)

PR 603

PR 603 - WIP: Define and Discuss "Hubs"

Lagally: (goes through the proposed changes)

Files changed

diff - 3. Terminology

Lagally: would not be harmful to merge this

Kaz: maybe you can ask McCool if it's OK to merge this just to make sure?

Lagally: ok
… (adds a comment about that)

Kaz: btw, we should check the Editors list at the beginning of the draft and make it up-to-date

Lagally: (creates an issue about that)

Issue 719 - Update list of editors to reflect current WoT members

Lagally: who will take the edit for Issue 719?

Toumura: will do

Issue 716

Issue 716 - change "Thing directory" to "Thing description directory"

Lagally: this is editorial
… (adds "editorial" label)

Kaz: btw, just to make sure, "Thing description directory" should be "Thing Description directory"
… meaning "D" at the beginning of "Directory" should be a capital letter

Lagally: yes

Toumura: will take this too

Lagally: tx!

Issue 715

Issue 715 - Verify note on TD Fragment

Lagally: what is the current status?

Kaz: we should check it again

Lagally: (see the repos of wot-scripting-api first)
… don't find any information there
… need to check

Issue 714

Issue 714 - Outdated note on partial TD ?

3. Terminology (for "Partial TD")

Lagally: there is still an Editors Note about "Partial TD"
… to be removed

Scripting API - 4. Terminology and conventions

Lagally: Scripting API refers to Architecture for "Partial TD" too

preset+ Ege_Korkan
… would remove the Editor's note for "Partial TD"

Scripting API - 6.2 The produce() method

Ege: Scripting API mentions "Partial TD" at section 6.2

Lagally: Ege, you proposed to remove the Editor's note

NOTE
An example usage of a Partial TD is in WoT Scripting API as an input for
the creation of Exposed Things. See the produce method for more details.

Kaz: Ege, what was your actual intention?
… 1. keep the Editor's note and update the URL for Scripting API, e.g., using the Edtor's Draft URL
… 2. make the Editor's note an official text of the "Partial TD" and then maintain the URL?
… 3. as Lagally mentioned, simply remove the Editor's note

Ege: would go for the 2nd option

Lagally: the link in the note is wrong and points to the published version which doesn't mention "Partial TD"

Kaz: in that case, what would be the conclusion?

Lagally: we should remove the Editor's note

Kaz: ok

Lagally: will mention that explicitly within the comment for Issue 714

(adds another comment about that)

Lagally's comment

Lagally: please think about which Issue you could take if you're one of the Editors :)
