UI Components

zitao: did some home work to research related standards
… rough work
… help needed
… current MiniApp implementations use different markup languages
… for example, if a developer wants to develop a miniapp for both WeChat and Alipay, there will be difficulties at present
… some events have the same name, but the implementations in different miniapp platforms are different
… comments are welcome
… we can standardize component names and attributes
… need to align with Open UI, web components etc.
… wrote a gap analysis comparing with existing standard UI components
… I think the CG can work on it together
… any comments?
Dan_Zhou: components like input
… do we extend HTML or just standardize it in MiniApps
… maybe we should create new elements in MiniApps because some attributes are different from HTML
zitao: we can reuse existing standards as much as possible
… and we need to extend them to support more use cases
Dan_Zhou: the image element is different from HTML
zitao: you can help me improve the document
… it's open discussion
… do you think the CG should pick up this topic and start standardizing it?
… if so we can move the repo to the CG
Dan_Zhou: make sense to me
martin: collecting what are the common elements and their attributes as use cases from all miniapp vendors
… and then we can discuss the standardization process
… overlaps the work in Open UI and Web Components
… we should engage collaboratively with existing groups
… collect use cases and common components
… and decide whether we should create a new markup language or reuse existing ones
… focus on use cases first
Dan_Zhou: I think each components should be discussed separately
zitao: works for me
… happy to discuss with you one by one
QingAn: HTML provides similar components
… whether to use HTML components
… not sure all the vendors are willing to change existing implementations
xfq: I can create a repo for it
<martin> +1 to start discussing UI components in a new repo
IoT

QingAn: no major update
… plan is to @@
… in the last CG meeting martin showed some interest
martin: i haven't added input apart from the comment in the issue
… will send some input soon
Dan_Zhou: any other comments?
MiniApp Addressing
Dan_Zhou: addressing
… thanks for Yongjing's comments
… updated the PR
… now all MiniApp vendors use custom URI scheme
… if we use https
… we may face some compat problems
… for example
… https Deep Link is not supported on Android 6.0
… would like to ask other vendors' opinions
QingAn: problem with iOS?
Dan_Zhou: iOS updates quickly
… so not a problem
QingAn: @@

QingAn: we can talk offline
Dan_Zhou: any other comments?
