Scott Hollier will be a co-facilitator for RQTF going forward
We are all wishing Jason well and looking forward to his eventual return to the task force
<joconnor> https://lists.w3.org/Archives/Public/public-rqtf/2020Aug/0027.html
<joconnor> Here is Jason's list of papers
Janina will forward resources from the timed text group
Synchronizations specs include include WEBVTT and TTML
Specs are similar, but WEBVTT may be easier to author
<janina> https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/wiki/Meetings/TPAC_2020
Review of research articles; goal to gather questions about which issues matter for people with various disabilities
<joconnor> and bring them to the Timed Group Group at TPAC
May matter more for some applications than others...captions, described video for example
<joconnor> SN: I've also found similar time ranges - as a window.
<joconnor> Based on experiments in those in the normal range.
<joconnor> ~- 30-170 ms
Example of research finding: "200 ms duration asymmetric bimodal temporal integration window"
<joconnor> SN: Where can we capture this?
<joconnor> JS: Wiki page

Production ready branch is good to go
<joconnor> http://raw.githack.com/w3c/apa/Sept2020_xaur_production/xaur/index.html
Janina will suggest to Judy that we publish this week
Janina: always good to lay the foundation for why we are doing things; so we should see if they are working in this direction
Orienting this work around WHATWG's work on new HTML considerations
We want to raise the questions about user needs in general, and then we could suggest accessibility considerations if they agree
<joconnor> https://www.w3.org/2020/maps/agenda
Workshop is virtual starting Sept 21 at 5:00 AM GMT
Several hours spread over a couple weeks
<joconnor> https://www.w3.org/2020/maps/agenda
A look forward on our priorities
Janina: two obvious ones XAUR and RAUR making sure those are done
<joconnor> We may be finalizing XAUR and RAUR
Janina: Web of Things...may be work for us coming out of that, but we don't know at this point
<joconnor> There may be middleware use cases - have to see outcomes from TPAC
<joconnor> Syncronisation work - may also be a thing
<joconnor> FAST?
<joconnor> FAST is very important to APA
<joconnor> The definitions are going to help define functional needs for SIlver - much wider reaching
<joconnor> The Synronisation outputs from TPAC may rev up the MAUR reboot
<joconnor> The question is what is the future of MAUR in the context of XAUR RAUR and Media Sync in XR
<joconnor> This may point to a MAUR 2.0
Accessibility architecture for XR perhaps needs a closer examination
Wrapper which orchestrates and scheduled the events for various AT applications
<joconnor> For mainstream XR we need a conductor or co-ordinator to manage multiple AT, scheduling.
<joconnor> Also the the write once implement e'where - platform handles complexity and the author has a high level language that defined element properties and affordances
<joconnor> Janina notes we should check in on AOM progress if any.
