proposed: Accept the meeting minutes
<Caroline> +1
+1
<kcoyle> +0 (not here)
<Makx> +0
<roba> +0
Resolution: approve last meeting minutes https://www.w3.org/2020/04/07-dxwg-minutes
Web Site
<Caroline> https://www.w3.org/2019/did-wg/
Caroline: do we want to have a web site like the following
?
Caroline: Are philippe preparing a mockup?
bigbluehat: we have different pages ..
<plh> https://www.w3.org/PM/Groups/?gid=99375
Caroline: the idea was having something like the web site for the group in order to have something more friendly
plh: you have an alternative example https://www.w3.org/PM/Groups/?gid=99375
kcoyle: is there a problem with the web page we have now?
plh: peter was the one proposing, we can attrack more people with the new website
kcoyle: is yet another page to be kept update? who is doing this?
plh: in what is different from the info in the database that the page visualize..
plh: it is more for the outsite community
<roba> +1 to automated update from point of truth. Can we excise this info from the wiki page and include this as a box there?
Caroline: we keep the wiki,
kcoyle: I think it is a little minimal .. I would like more content..
plh: Rob was asking if we can feed directly the website from the wiki, the answer is no, we cannot feed more..
plh: .... XXXX:... talking about the technicals resason why we can't feed more ..
Caroline: Do you have any other comments?
… considered peter is not in the call, I would suggest we postpone the vote on this..
<plh> https://www.w3.org/PM/Groups/chairboard.html?gid=99375
Caroline: if you have suggestion we can discuss via email and vote the next meeting
plh: another example..
dcat
<Caroline> riccardoAlbertoni: We had a couple of exchanges at github issues
https://www.w3.org/2017/dxwg/wiki/Meetings:Telecon2020.04.15
<Caroline> ... we agreed to start the DCAT subgroups calls on Wednesdays at 21:00 UTC (one hour later than the plenary call)
do you want to comment about dcat and the meeting?
guidance
caroline: the question is how we want to proceed. does anyone comment one that?
kcoyle: did we ever made a decision about the scope of the guidance document?
ncar: i do not think a decision was made ..
the feeling was that it will be a general purpose document..
<plh> "Guidance on publishing application profiles of vocabularies"
as far as I remembered about the discussion with antoine
<ncar> So the charter and most recent thoughts seem to agree
plh: we said in the charter that it was quite general ..
unless antoine is not around I thing we shoudl not change the flavor given in the charter
<roba> +1 fro me for it to be general
<ncar> +1 for a general doc, as per charter, too
caroline: I think we can discuss this by mail also so that all the involved parts are included.. and then we can be return to the call for voting
conneg
do anyone give a report?
ncar: we have two main items to do
… include in the document and itemize the requirements, now we have an appendix and it list the requirements
… the second was bring the testing suite in the w3c repository
<ncar> Testing Suite: https://github.com/w3c/prof-conneg-testing/
ncar: this is the testing suite
roba: XXX (sorry I could get this )
<ncar> roba: the test suite is not yet using the nomenclature of the ConnegP appendix
robe: I think we should cosider publishing a new draft for following up some of the changes
Caroline: any comments?
rob: fixes the issues link, do we need to vote if we make editorial changes ?
caroline: any comments?
ncar: i was about to mention a new implementation but let's see first if there are comment to rob..
<ncar> I have trialled an Apache-only implementation of ConnegP: http://linked.data.gov.au/def/geofeatures (e.g. http://linked.data.gov.au/def/geofeatures?_profile=alt, http://linked.data.gov.au/def/geofeatures?_profile=skos)
ncar: i put th elink in th eirc
ncar: we have three different implementations ..
… i am try now to implement a full apache implementation, the purpouse is to show how a set a resorces can be connegP enable..
caroline: any comments?
do you want to say more about it ?
I have a question: do you think to collect more implementations
ncar: not really, we have enough ..here the idea is to testing different ways..
roba: I have deployed this OGC consortium infrastructure, there are new opportunities for further feedback and reviews with other standardization bodies
ncar: I have a new role in the ISO, 19xxx, we want to put out ontology version of the 19xxx specification and there is room for using and testing our stuuff
roba: continuing collection, and testing..
… reconving the group to have a discussion about the other issue we want to clean up ...
<ncar> Editor's Draft: https://w3c.github.io/dx-connegp/connegp/
kcoyle: do we have a target date for going to CR?
ncar: early twenty..
Action: ncar to reconvene the ConnegP sub-group meetings
<trackbot> Created ACTION-413 - Reconvene the connegp sub-group meetings [on Nicholas Car - due 2020-04-21].
plh: well according the plan we are late, my suggestion is going to as quick as you can-- -
Prof
ncar: we haven't had any recent work on this ...
but we have indirectly used prof, in two places..
1) .... YYYYY ... we have some feedback... there is some extension we can do for extending the semantic according to some feedback
roba: it does what he need to do according to my experience of implementations..
… but if there is something missing I am very happy to revisiting it
ncar: I have reported some sw that uses prof, I do not know what kind of expectation we have for vocabularies like this..
it seems we will have some commercial development too ..
<ncar> The hierarchcal validation tool: https://github.com/surroundaustralia/cheka
<Caroline> riccardoAlbertoni: ncar mentioned a different software used to prof. Is it listed anywhere?
riccardoAlbertoni: Do you have a list of SW?
ncar: no yet, but we should consider to have the list
Action: ncar to create an implementation report for PROF
<trackbot> Created ACTION-414 - Create an implementation report for prof [on Nicholas Car - due 2020-04-21].
action to ncar : listing the sw using prof
<trackbot> Error finding 'to'. You can review and register nicknames at <https://www.w3.org/2017/dxwg/track/users>.
Caroline: after that we have to return to prof and have a group decision ( vote, pool or whatever)
robe: it is just a implementation report
phl: so you do not need to have a group decision
roba: At the moment there are not changes..
it is just about implementations ,,
Caroline: thanks and congratulations. ...
