<JohnRochford> first topic: user stories and personas
<JohnRochford> Rachael: user needs are mapped to patterns
<JohnRochford> Rachael is explaining the doc to which she posted a link
<JohnRochford> Rachael: Next step is to sign up for missing design patterns (9).
<JohnRochford> Lisa: We need to allocate personas to user needs.
<JohnRochford> Does the process Rachel described make sense to all?
<JohnRochford> +1
comparing personas with user needs
<JohnRochford> Rachael: That's the link to the design pattern template.
<johnkirkwood> yes
<JohnRochford> Rachael: Doc organized by objectives.
Controls do not move unexpectedly as I am using them.
I can get to the feature I need using the minimum number of easy steps
I can easily distinguish words (e.g. clear background and letters so 3 second for site word and no disturbing background noise for audio)
I need words to include the symbols and letters necessary to phonetically read the words. (This is often needed in languages like Arabic and Hebrew.)
I need explanations of implied content, like body gestures and facial expressions seen in images and animations.
I want interfaces to use metrics I know, and that are common in my location (such as feet or meters).
<JohnRochford> Pronunciation Task Force: https://www.w3.org/WAI/APA/task-forces/pronunciation/
As a user that needs help to stay focused, I need to know the context, where I am, what I just did, or what just happened to me after I lost focus and then needed to come back to the task.
I need the login process to be simple, and not multi-step. User Need: As a symbol user, I need a login process I can use that does not rely on a lot of words
<Roy> Pronunciation explainer: https://github.com/w3c/pronunciation/blob/master/docs/explainer.md
Support and explanations for any choices. The advantages or disadvantages are clear to me and I understand the effects of the choice I might make. For example when choosing a cheaper airline ticket you often have to pay for a meal.
<JohnRochford> John K. and Steve agree to do something. Scribe does not know what.
<JohnRochford> crickets
they agreed to hunt for missing pattern 4
<JohnRochford> Rachael is reviewing the design patterns and asking for volunteers to tackle them.
<LisaSeemanKest> i also need to go :(
Reviewing actions for those who are here.
Close Tom's persona action for David and John K.
Close mapping for user stories
Steve: Just picking up. There are a lot of questions need to rework.
Rachael: Need to ask Alaistar about scedule

Discussion: Confirm before submission will be back up at AG on December 17th for discussion.
Critical Controls - ready to go back to the group
Steve: Accessible authentication is moving forward.
Silver is creating a first draft which will include a new guideline (clear language), built off content usable and gap analysis.
Steve: Does it make sense to cross check it with the user stories? I will try to do that.
Rachael: Please take a few minutes and provide comments, edits, suggestions. This is the coga version of the document?
Steve: Should we cancel the editorial meeting?
Rachael: Decision to cancel.
