discussion on some open actions, ncar will address 325 later today
Conneg PWD2 - News about the publication
ncar: we are starting the publicity
… asking for feedback also to those who provided feedback before
… we've got 38 open issues
… tonight we are going to continue categorising them
DaveBrowning: do you have any views about the next PWD?
ncar: we'll definitely have it out by the end of the month
… content should be there, we have enough action items and a clear idea on how to deal with most of them
<DaveBrowning> alejandra: I've been disconnect - when are the meetings?
<DaveBrowning> ncar: Lars sends out email each week
ncar: 16 hrs from now
… reminder will be sent in a few hours
DaveBrowning: moving on to the DCAT spec...
… I believe we're very close to candidate draft that we can move to the next step of the process
… for that to happen it requires approval of the plenary
… tomorrow's DCAT meeting needs to assess the status
… sanity check of critical issues that have been addressed
… and after that request approval from the plenary
… there is a new section on the document related to temporal/spatial extent
… apart from that, the work has been editorial
… we came to the conclusion last week that we were close to having resolution on the temporal/spatial aspects
Simon: temporal/spatial extent was specified as a couple of Dublin core properties
… and we have largely used properties from elsewhere
… we've proposed 4 new properties
… we're perceiving that there is little or weak guidance out there
… we've provided some optional patterns
ncar: a comment about profiles vocabulary
… ODRL group has adopted it for ODRL profiling
… they want people to make specialised versions of ODRL
… and now they ask people to describe their profiles in PROF
… they seem very happy and we haven't got to make changes to PROF
… so we would have 3 implementations
brilliant!
DaveBrowning: I had a conversation with a colleague who has been involved with ODRL and he was enthutiastic
… that reminds me that we need to put together evidence for DCAT implementation
Simon: we have an issue about implementation
… we are reusing existing technology
… we need to tell a story about the implementation evidence
riccardoAlbertoni: there some attempts of collecting the implementation that starts with the CR
… so we have a little time to analyse if there are gaps
… we should discuss this tomorrow and also what happens if we don't find an implementation for one or two properties
ncar: as I did with SDWB working group, I have a catalogue that I maintain with large datasets
… and have used a class that is now gone (DataDistributionService)
… will remove it and can add some of the new properties
<riccardoAlbertoni> That is would be great ncar!
+1, great ncar !
