Issue: multithumb slider
<trackbot> Created ISSUE-1052 - Multithumb slider. Please complete additional details at <http://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/track/issues/1052/edit>.
JN: triage two issues
<jongund> https://rawgit.com/jongund/aria-practices/slider/examples/slider/multithumb-slider.html
<jamesn> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/124
<jamesn> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/221
JG: pretty close to being done
but wants to polish
... ready for review
JN: arrows are different than those seen previously
JG: student is working on this week
<jamesn> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/221
JN: price range is good
example
... description doesn't adequately describe purpose of
example
... offers to add edit for example
... pattern doesn't state how thumbs are related to each
other
JG: example does contain relationship with max/min
JN: suggestion from Jan meeting was to remove aria-controls
Siri: finds current example confusing
JN: using valuenow but not valuetext
JG: can change so screen reader matches
JN: JG will edit to speak to
relationship between values
... can link to single thumb sliders, calling out they are
SINGLE thumb sliders
<jemma> jongund
JG: Multithumb ready for review
<sirib> issue#?
<sirib> I will review it
<sirib> Can you assign it to us?
<jamesn> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/129
<jamesn> https://github.com/w3c/aria-practices/issues/130
129 is example, 130 is design pattern
JN: Matt fixed design pattern
with valuemin & valuemax, example needs updates
accordingly
... will assign in github
Michiel: making changes right
now
... example is in progress
<MichielBijl> https://rawgit.com/w3c/aria-practices/switch/examples/switch/switch.html
<jemma> http://uxmovement.com/buttons/when-to-use-a-switch-or-checkbox/
JN: fallback unsupported in IE
Siri: what does switch do for screen reader user?
Michiel: switch & checkbox have same functionality except switch doesn't need "save" button to save change
BG: switch has only on/off, checkbox has three states (including mixed)
<MichielBijl> http://w3c.github.io/aria-practices/examples/checkbox/checkbox-2/checkbox-2.html
Michiel: will continue to work on example to include today's comments
