I'm on the call and can hear Alex, who can't hear me.
<Travis> Working on getting on the call... hang tight.
I heard someone join the call.
Alex: Have an unfinished PR that affects security.
LW: Go ahead, we can ping them
for input.
... How close to CR readiness are we?
Alex: Would like to do the
IndexedDB issue.
... Not sure about the other HP issue.
Arron: Have a couple I'd like to
do, but may not get to them.
... They're not critical.
Travis: Have 3 on the CR
milestone.
... One wide review.
LW: That's just a tracker for wide review.
Travis: the dialog and one
more.
... can move both out.
Alex: My other is a security issue.
#262 can move out too.
Travis: Looking at Sangwhan's issues...
#538 looks interesting
LW: Critical?
<chaals> #538 has a PR waiting to go. Alex ok'ed it, Jan Nelson, MS i18n reviewer, ok
Travis: It's from i18n, but we need Sangwhan on this.
<chaals> (And another reviewer he checked with whose name went into acks but the email trail was private)
Travis: There are two others
<arronei> 314 for default style for q element
<chaals> I think Sangwhan's concern is overstated, although I should add an editorial note explaining there is a known issue with potentially confusing names.
Chaals for this issue?
<arronei> 269 sort out issues with [inputmode]
Which issue?
LW: Timetable?
Alex: Hope to finish referrer policy PR today.
LW: Would another week be enough to get the IndexedDB done?
Alex: Yes
LW: Need Xiaoqian for this.
CMN: Would like it in for CR.
LW: Can we do it by the end of the week?
CMN: We have an open PR.
Arron: I can pick up on the PR.
Chaals: Can help
Alex: Al browser are moving away.
Travis: We could move portions to obsolete.
CMN: We should indicate it's at risk.
Travis: That sends a strong signal.
LW: Before CR?
CMN: Yes
LW: Any objections?
None.
CMN: #893 lists the items at risk
input type=datetime
dialog
allowPresentation
men and menuitem
Input mode.
LW: We have tests for most of these.
CMN: Yes, except input mode or plugin API
Travis: Need to be clear what we mean by the plugin API.
<Travis> Looking at API Catalog, nav.plugins and doc.plugins are supported by all major browsers
<Travis> <object> is supported everywhere of course.
<Travis> <embed> as well...?
LW: On what basis do we mark it as at risk?
CMN: We could just deprecate it.
Travis: That's a big step.
LW: Deprecation is us pointing
the web platform in a certain direction.
... Ok, so we'll mark it as at risk and revisit in CR.
CMn: Be good to get concrete message of intent from vendors.
<Travis> Marking at risk lets us move spec content to a deprecated section after CR?
CMN: Suggestion to roll these specs together.
<chaals> [Is it reasonable to suggest to the WG that we consider this?]
Travis: Was good as separate docs. In the WHATWG spec it's part of the morass.
CMN: Maintenance is not good atm. So we're losing out in both ways.
Travis: it would be nice to incorporate it.
Arron: Modular is my usual preference, but in this case it makes sense to include it.
