<hongchan> Oops. sorry - https://github.com/WebAudio/web-audio-api/issues/942
<hongchan> YAY!
ChrisL Wide review will consost of git issues, conference and user feedback. Horizontal review, waiting for sign off but security, internationalisation and accessability should all be ok.
ChrisL testing story will be required. rtoy: all applicable chrome tests will be moved to the test harness
<ChrisL> charter (draft) https://www.w3.org/2011/audio/charter/audio-2016.html
<joe> https://www.w3.org/TR/audio-output/

Reviewed draft document next stage is to set up a comminuty group wo discuss this issue in more detail and to develop the API. We need to reduce duplication and ensure we meet the requirments for Web audio and other apis.
joe propose that we pick Monday Nov 21st as the deadline for all current open V1 issues to be closed.
<joe> The group will shoot for Fri Nov 18 as a deadline for applying V1 changes to the spec
Next Telecon - 6th October.
<joe> cwilso: talking about WebMIDI now
<joe> cwilso: in general there aren't a lot of open issues on WebMIDI. just need to crank through on these things
<joe> cwilso: I've talked with Takashi-san about how to get the code synced. Haven't talked to Kyle at Mozilla in a while.
<joe> padenot: he's addressed all the changes from the first iteration
<joe> cwilso: not going to talk about V2 issues and they haven't changed
<joe> cwilso: V1 has 13 issues. Most are minor -- not typos, but things like members needing to be required etc.
<joe> cwilso: the biggest changes to the spec not drafted yet are exposing the system level grouping of MIDI ports
<joe> cwilso: It seems implementable across all systems. 4 issues I want WG feedback on; I have proposals for all of these but want to hear your thoughts.
<joe> cwilso: First one is
<cwilso> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/165
<joe> cwilso: Question here is: which which event class to use
<joe> joe: could we make common cause and make an event subclass that's good for this as well as for our lighter-weight Worklet communication?
<joe> joe: Maybe not
<joe> cwilso: I'll go back to Alex and see what he says
<cwilso> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/164
<joe> ChrisL + joe: keep MIDI spec as the normative definition, don't step into role of legislating what's valid MIDI
<joe> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/141
<joe> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/142
<joe> padenot: maybe it's not terrible if we remove this statement and just copy the data
<joe> joe: I agree
<joe> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/158
<cwilso> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/158
<joe> https://github.com/WebAudio/web-midi-api/issues/161
<joe> ChrisL: we need to incorporate WebMIDI v2 in the new charter
<joe> proposal from Mounir: issue #836: for cross-origin iframes, automatically suspend AudioContext
